Like you, I once worked in a Cleanroom. I worked in a wafer fab
called MOS-11 in Austin, which was a part of Motorola at the time. I
started as an Operator in Etch, and then became a Supervisor for Films
& CMP. I later served as Shift Administrator dozens and dozens of
times.
Like you, I was really proud of the work. Like you, I never dreamed I
might be putting my future children at risk of birth defects. Nobody told
us that.
But the children of those of us who worked in Cleanrooms are being
born with severe birth defects at a rate that is far higher than the national
averages.
Because of my knowledge of the Cleanroom and my experience as a
Severe Personal Injury, I want to help you find the answers to the
questions you have for your child:
Why did this happen?
Can anybody help?
Can we stop this from happening to other children?
Yes, We Know Cleanrooms
I started working as an Operator in MOS-11 in 1993 in Austin, Texas. It was Motorola then.
Competition for the jobs was tough. They told us very few would even pass the written test. But the ones of us who were chosen were smart. We had to be. We could focus. We had to. We could handle the stress. There was plenty.
I trained for a couple of weeks in Etch on 1st Shift. I clearly remember how I didn’t even understand the words they were saying during the preshift meetings we had the first week. Then I was off to 2nd Shift when I was ready to fly solo some. When a spot opened on the Weekend P.M. Shift (noon to midnight), I jumped on it. I liked being an Operator. I was good at it. I was proud of what we did.
And then, though I was still green in so many ways, I got promoted to Supervisor in Films: the Weekend A.M. Shift (midnight to noon). Films was so different than Etch. I had to start learning all over again. And we were opening-up CMP then, which was a totally new process for Motorola. But because I always stayed in the Cleanroom, seldom leaving the floor during my shift, there were always plenty of people to teach me: experienced Operators, Engineers, Vendors, and a great Shift Administrator.
When my Shift Administrator had to go to Arizona for a month, I filled-in. Managing the entire Fab when no other management was around was wonderful. I absolutely loved it. I got to see everything. Every Operator, every Vendor, and every Engineer taught me. My shift performed well and my colleagues liked the way we solved problems together. So I became the guy who served as Shift Administrator for any shift when the real one couldn’t be there. And that was often.
And though there was a lot of pressure on the Shift Administrators to never evacuate the Fab, I chose to do so two days in a row. On Day 1, there was a huge acid spill that wasn’t identified before the HazMat crew and I searched for the source of the smell for hours. On Day 2, some 2nd floor insulation that had been soaked by the acid the day before began to out-gas. It took hours more for us to find that, too. Yes, I was very scared that evacuating the Fab for the second day in a row would cost me my job. But I put my coworkers’ safety first. And, no, I didn’t lose my job. I was lucky to have wonderful bosses who understood my decision.
Now I Fight for You and Your Family
Over and over I’ve seen that most people who are looking for a Severe Injury Law Firm have no idea how extraordinarily vast the differences between law firms can be.
A problem with that is that a prospective client with a powerful & important severe injury case will find a never-ending list of lawyers wanting to serve. That list will include all kinds: divorce lawyers, criminal lawyers, lawyers who do a little bit of everything, and mass marketing law firms that ask each lawyer in their firms to handle 100, 200, 300, or even more cases.
In two very crucial ways, we are not like any of those firms. First, here, we accept the representation of ONLY the Severely Injured and those who have lost a Loved-One to Wrongful Death. Helping those who have suffered a catastrophic event that caused a loved-one's wrongful death, or caused a brain injury, or paralysis, or emergency surgery, and other severe injury is all we do.
Second, we only represent an extremely select number of clients at any one time. We believe that when we are representing clients with such life-changing injuries, that each case requires and deserves personal attention.
You see, each case is unique, and we never know what any one will require. Sometimes they require the studying of nuances in a hundred thousands of pages of documents. Sometimes they require travel all across the country. Sometimes the require battling a room full of insurance lawyers. But they always require that they be treated as unique cases. And they always require that we take the clients' stories into our hearts.
We don't limit ourselves to helping Only the Severely Injured because we think we're special. We do it because we think our clients are.
If you think that this Firm and your case might be a good fit, the sooner you call or email me, the better. We have a lot to talk to about, so let’s get started.
